A. Blue Childs was born December 25th, 2099.

On his 12th birthday, at 6:40, he came downstairs and saw his parents dying under the tree.

They had been well and in good spirits last night.

He watched them die for about 6 minutes, then they could die no more.

Then he started puberty.

He sat by the busted bodies for 15 minutes, athink.

Then his siblings came to help.

Their names respectfully were Axle, Buela, Carry, Dani, Eartha, Fara, Gamede, Hera, Iris, Joule, Kilauea and Lose.

Their ages respectively were 13, 14, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 28, 29.

They have an 18 room house just westa Cleveland, Ohio.

They travel to each continent together.

They study in labs, write books, give talks.


At dawn on A. B. C.'s 30th birthday, at the D. C. mall, they tell him his destiny for the first time.
